About

Outperform Cancer.

This site and the information provided attempts to fill a gap in the market, empower cancer patients, and encourage health systems to educate their patients about clinical research and evidence-based ideas outside of standard care.

Importantly, I am a patient, not a physician. The information on this site is provided solely for educational purposes.

I am a cancer patient.

I decided to create this website and podcast because I strongly believe that there is important information that cancer patients need to know, but will never hear from their doctors. I’ve found that oncologists are focused on delivering excellent standard care, naturopaths provide natural therapies, and mental health providers try to alleviate patients stress and anxiety.

No one provides cancer patients with actionable strategies based on pre-clinical and clinical research that has not yet become standard care to help them outperform their projected outcomes.

Bridging the gap in medical care.

My goal is to help patients improve cancer outcomes by illuminating actionable anti-cancer strategies found in peer-reviewed, scientific research.

I needed to look beyond the black book

I wasn’t satisfied with statistics that suggested most women with my diagnosis die within five years, and I knew that if I wanted a different outcome, I would need to do things differently.

About this site

Not-standard care, yet.

This website provides patients with ideas for new layering of care. The goal is to improve standard care outcomes by stacking peer-reviewed published, adjunct protocols – ideas that have solid research behind them but aren’t yet standard care because the research isn’t definitive.

Until now, it has been difficult for patients to identify quality adjunct protocols because these strategies are not typically provided by oncologists, surgeons, naturopaths, counselors/therapists, or nurse navigators.

Uncovering research for you.

Through independent searching online, some patients may find therapies to explore (e.g. Estrogen pulsing, Sulforaphane, Vitamin C infusion, Turkey Tail mushrooms, etc.) but it is extremely difficult to find actionable information regarding dose, timing, relevancy to their diagnosis, and expected efficacy. Because cancer patients are not being directed to these actionable, adjunct therapies, they are becoming frustrated and may implement strategies that are a waste of energy and money or possibly even harmful.

What’s next?

Outperform Cancer strives to provide the latest information on actionable adjunct protocols for cancer patients. Utilizing clinical research data supported by expert interviews, I try to provide detailed, well-documented discoveries for patients to consider and discuss with their doctors.

Who knows? These discoveries may be the medical breakthroughs of the future.

Brand Fuel

This website wouldn’t have happened without the countless hours volunteered by Erika Graffeo at Brand Fuel. I’ve worked with Erika in many different capacities over the last 25 years. She is a true professional with an eye for detail and the drive to continuously move projects forward. I’m also fortunate enough to call her a friend.
